Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the LighterHub API and website (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Binh Nguyen ("LighterHub", "we", "us"). By using the Service or purchasing credits, passes, or other paid access, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

LighterHub provides pay-per-token access to open-weight large language models hosted on dedicated GPU hardware. The Service exposes an OpenAI-compatible HTTP API. Available models, context windows, and prices are listed at lighterhub.app and may change with notice.

2. Account & API keys

You receive an API key by depositing credits, purchasing a time-boxed pass, or claiming a free trial. You are responsible for keeping your key confidential. Anyone in possession of the key can use the access associated with it. You may rotate or revoke your key by contacting founder [at] lighterhub.app.

3. Credits, passes & billing

Credits are prepaid and denominated in USD. They are consumed in real time as your requests are processed.
Pricing for input, output, and cached-read tokens is published on the website and applied per request based on token counts reported by the model server.
Credits are non-transferable and have no cash value outside the Service.
LighterHub reserves the right to expire unused credits three hundred sixty-five (365) days after purchase, unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.
Promotional bonus credits issued during launch periods or campaigns are subject to the same terms but cannot be withdrawn or refunded.
Time-boxed API passes provide access to the listed shared API route for the purchased duration. Unless otherwise stated in writing, passes are subject to fair-use controls and do not include dedicated GPU capacity, resale rights, or a formal service-level agreement.
A pass starts when the first successful API response is delivered for that pass.

4. Refunds

See our Refund Policy for details. In short: paid credit and pass purchases are final and non-refundable once completed, except for duplicate charges, billing errors, failure by LighterHub to provision paid pass access, or refunds required by law.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to:

Generate content that violates applicable law, infringes third-party rights, or facilitates fraud, harassment, or abuse.
Create CSAM or sexually explicit content involving minors. This is strictly prohibited and will be reported.
Generate malware, weapons-of-mass-destruction guidance, or content designed to facilitate violence.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or replicate the Service infrastructure, or to deny service to other users.
Resell or sublicense access to the Service without prior written permission.
Use a shared API pass as a public proxy, shared key, bot farm, resale service, or substitute for quoted dedicated capacity.

We may suspend, throttle, or terminate any account violating these rules. Credits or passes in terminated accounts are not refundable except where required by law.

6. Service availability

The Service may run on dedicated GPU capacity that can be started, stopped, reserved, or reconfigured based on customer demand. We do not currently offer a formal SLA for shared access. We make commercially reasonable efforts to keep active routes available, but planned maintenance, hardware failures, upstream provider issues, or GPU availability may cause temporary unavailability. Availability expectations for reserved or dedicated capacity are handled in the applicable customer terms.

7. Privacy & data handling

Request and response payloads are not logged. We log timestamps, token counts, request IDs, and your API key prefix for billing and abuse detection only. See the Privacy Policy for full details.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Model outputs may be inaccurate, biased, or unsafe; you are responsible for checking outputs before relying on them. We are not liable for any decisions or actions taken based on model output.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LighterHub's aggregate liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the affected credits or pass in the 30 days preceding the claim.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced on the website and via email to active accounts at least 7 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
