Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the LighterHub API and website (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Binh Nguyen ("LighterHub", "we", "us"). By using the Service or purchasing credits, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

LighterHub provides pay-per-token access to open-weight large language models hosted on dedicated GPU hardware. The Service exposes an OpenAI-compatible HTTP API. Available models, context windows, and prices are listed at lighterhub.app and may change with notice.

2. Account & API keys

You receive an API key by depositing credits or claiming a free trial. You are responsible for keeping your key confidential. Anyone in possession of the key can spend the credits associated with it. You may rotate or revoke your key by contacting founder@lighterhub.app.

3. Credits & billing

Credits are prepaid and denominated in USD. They are consumed in real time as your requests are processed.
Pricing for input, output, and cached-read tokens is published on the website and applied per request based on token counts reported by the model server.
Credits are non-transferable and have no cash value outside the Service.
Promotional bonus credits issued during launch periods or campaigns are subject to the same terms but cannot be withdrawn or refunded.

4. Refunds

See our Refund Policy for details. In short: unused credits are refundable on request within 14 days; consumed credits are not refundable.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to:

Generate content that violates applicable law, infringes third-party rights, or facilitates fraud, harassment, or abuse.
Create CSAM or sexually explicit content involving minors. This is strictly prohibited and will be reported.
Generate malware, weapons-of-mass-destruction guidance, or content designed to facilitate violence.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or replicate the Service infrastructure, or to deny service to other users.
Resell or sublicense access to the Service without prior written permission.

We may suspend or terminate any account violating these rules and refund the balance at our discretion.

6. Service availability

The Service runs on a single dedicated GPU node. We do not currently offer an SLA. We make commercially reasonable efforts to keep the Service available but planned maintenance, hardware failures, and upstream provider issues may cause temporary unavailability. Status is published at api.lighterhub.app/health.

7. Privacy & data handling

Request and response payloads are not logged. We log timestamps, token counts, request IDs, and your API key prefix for billing and abuse detection only. See the Privacy Policy for full details.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Model outputs may be inaccurate, biased, or unsafe; you are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them. We are not liable for any decisions or actions taken based on model output.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LighterHub's aggregate liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid for credits in the 30 days preceding the claim.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced on the website and via email to active accounts at least 7 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
